Hi! We’re Mandy and Greg!

While we love our home-free nomadic lifestyle, we do miss having little ones to snuggle on, not to mention a sense of home and stability from time-to-time. House and petsitting has become an essential and deeply fulfilling part of our lives on the road since our fortunate first sit way back in 2016. Read more about our story on our about us page.

For us, housesitting is not simply a way to save on accommodation. Instead, it provides us with a genuine gift of the experiences we crave as travelers…a chance to be instantly transported into living life as a local, an opportunity to make new and hopefully lasting friendships, and often, to be immersed in wonderful new and exciting corners of the world we would not have found otherwise. As explorers, this speaks our love language beautifully and to do it all with furry companions at our sides, is the icing on the cake.

Over the years we have welcomed the gift to look after homes in a variety of very diverse locations around the world, and to give our love to pets of many ages, breeds, sizes and… personalities. Some pets, and occasionally homes and locations, have certainly come with “quirks” which we have happily adapted to, be it a medical issue, or anxious traits and social issues. At one sit we even welcomed the chance to care for a rescued orphan baby Jaguarundi in the jungle of Panama (happily, he was later re-released back into the wild following our three month sit with him!) Our Story…As fate would have it, we met when our paths crossed while living in Prague, Czech Republic in 2007. Shortly afterward we moved to Portland, Oregon and became live-in property managers of a lovely historic 20 unit apartment building in 2008. We managed this property while both taking on full-time jobs as an event planner (Mandy) and park ranger (Greg) until 2018 when we set off to travel full-time on a nomadic lifestyle, planning to one day settle in somewhere and open a microbrewery and guesthouse in some corner of the world. But before we do, we’re embracing any opportunity to experience the world around us in a new and authentic light which we always get from housesitting.

During a three month housesit in Bucaro, Panama we got the amazing opportunity to live in the rural jungle and watch four house cats along with one very different type of cat... a rescued orphan baby Jaguarundi. It was truly the experience of a lifetime! Read more about our Panama housesit.

We are responsible, capable, and resourceful. Before becoming nomadic we had nine years experience as on-site property managers of an historic 20-unit apartment building (2009-2018). In this position we dutifully performed regular building maintenance and repairs, cleaning, gardening, landscaping, and of course employed adept communication skills with our tenants and landlords. Thus, we know how to take care of things.
Greg, has a particularly loving and practiced green thumb… he has studied horticulture and has gardened since the age of 6, so any plants you have will be well looked after.
We are communicative, energetic, friendly, sincere, and compassionate.
After 15 years together, we continue to be a very happy and stable couple who rarely argues or bickers. If we are your chosen housesitters, we are coming as a package deal.

Because we’ve been traveling non-stop since 2018, we are accustomed to adapting to our environment and being resourceful in several off-the-grid environments, problem-solving and fixing things is where we thrive.
We are walkers… we thoroughly enjoy seeing our world using our favorite mode of transport… our feet; we always love having an extra set of paws tagging along with us.
We have watched pets of all ages, breeds sizes and personalities, many with “quirks” such as medical issues, anxious traits, or social issues.
We promise to wholeheartedly love, respect, and treat your house, and beloved animals as if they are our own.
